Ideas for a Themed Hen Party

A hen night theme is a great way to unite the hen group and get them chatting before the night even begins. To make sure everyone is aware of upcoming activities, create a Facebook group page or Whatsapp group. This way everyone can discuss ideas/tips and share images. This will help everyone feel comfortable with the chosen theme (hopefully!). Also make sure to give your guests enough notice. Themes can be great fun and add lots of laughter to the brides big night.

Here at The Fence, we have seen some pretty cool Hens, ranging from Pink Ladies, Rockabilly, 1920s, Alice in Wonderland and the Lovely Girls Competition, and of course there’s always a few willy straws knocking about 🙂

Some of our top picks

Vintage Hen Party. This is classy and easy to create. You can choose from the vintage era of the 1920s or 1950s. This hen getup would go perfect with our Gin and Jam Afternoon Tea. Picture sipping Gin infused tea out of pretty china teacups – dressed to kill!

How about a Masquerade Hen Party, feel like a million dollars in a floor length gown while sipping Gin – this is one for all those glamorous ladies. Or you could pick The Mad Hatters Tea Party / Alice in Wonderland for something a little bit quirky. Getting a professional make-up artist to do crazy make-up would ad to the fun! All of these hen party themes tie in perfectly with our Gin and Jam Afternoon Tea setting. Pick a Disguise – any crafty people in your group could make disguise masks – any type of weird thing they want. Pop them all on a table and everyone picks their disguise. Or you could just buy them!! Day of the Dead – get your makeup done, or do it yourself, and join us in The Fence for a full on Mexican celebration, with Tequilas, Margaritas and bulldogs!!

We are very happy to help you set-up in our Cocktail Bar with any bits and pieces you would like to use 🙂

Shake your way through a Cocktail Masterclass with A Black and Bling Hen Party Theme, your guests will love putting on their best LBD with some bling accessories or you could go Monochrome which is simple and classic, all your guests wear black while the bride wears white.

Dress up is your finest 80s shell suits and take a leisurely cycle on the Royal Canal Greenway, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. Everyone needs a good shell suit for a night out!
