Shakin’ our Shamrocks!

We definitely shook our shamrocks this Paddys Day in Mullingar!

Up bright and early we headed up to the Columb Barracks to put the finishing touches to our lovely hot air balloon. By 3pm our balloon was deflated and so were we 🙁

Told that the weather conditions had taken a turn for the worst, our very dedicated troop were heading out the gate when we decided that we couldn’t abandon our colourful float.

The balloon took a new lease of life just in the nick of time at the green bridge (when we managed to get it blown back up) and we had great craic pushing it down the streets of Mullingar. We’re delighted that all the brave souls standing in the wind and rain got to see the effort we put in. We are also delighted that local photographer Sean Magee captured this stunning picture of Dec – look at the pure MADNESS on his face!!

Thanks so much to the great bunch on the St Patricks Day Organising Committee, especially Marty Mulligan! Fantastic to see such a great community spirit – what a great little town we have 🙂
